I got some of those MBT shoes with huge soles... kept tripping on FLAT surfaces and looking like a total idiot. I don't wear them anymore. Am pretty sure they didn't do anything for my physique. At least the fit flop ones look nicer.

Beautifully written, MiMi. I know what you mean about the pungent scents! Bad enough in the morning, but late at night, walking up from the Embankment to Charing Cross station is an assault on the senses that you have to be either dead or drunk to survive...
